MYAH
Terms of use
The agreement between you and MYAH when you use myahsits.com, as a house and pet sitter or as a home owner.
Last updated 26 October 2026
In short: MYAH helps sitters and owners find each other and arrange sits. The sit itself is an agreement between the sitter and the owner. Be honest, be kind, and look after each other's homes and animals.
1. About MYAH
MYAH (myahsits.com) is run by Myah Sits Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17518835, registered office 109 The Avenue, Leigh, WN7 1HE ("MYAH", "we", "us"). MYAH was founded by Callum & Niamh. You can contact us at info@myahsits.com. By creating an account or using the site you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or over.
- Sign up as a sitter or as a home owner, and keep your details accurate and up to date.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- One person (or one couple, for a joint sitter account) per account.
- Complete ID verification, with your own genuine documents, before applying, posting, messaging or confirming a sit.
3. What MYAH does, and doesn't do
MYAH gives sitters a public page, lets owners post sits, and lets members apply, message and confirm sits with each other. We are not a party to the arrangement between a sitter and an owner, and we do not employ sitters.
Everyone on MYAH is ID checked: before you can apply for sits, post a sit, message other members or confirm a sitter, you send a photo of your passport or driving licence and a selfie, and we check that they match. A verified badge means that check was completed; it is not a background or criminal record check. Owners and sitters should still talk, check reviews and references, and agree the details of every sit between themselves.
4. Membership and payments
While MYAH is launching, it is free. Nothing is charged, and you can use either page design. We will tell every member by email, well before any charges begin, what memberships cost and when they start. Nothing will be charged without your clear agreement.
When memberships begin there will be two, for sitters and owners alike:
- Basic: your page in our classic one-page layout, with everything you need to post or find sits, apply, message and confirm.
- Premium: everything in Basic, with your page in our Premium design.
Once memberships begin:
- Prices are shown on the membership page before you pay, and include VAT where it applies.
- You can pay monthly or yearly. Your membership renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel, and we take the payment for the next period on the renewal date.
- You can cancel at any time from your membership page. Your membership then runs to the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew; we do not refund part-periods.
- Your right to cancel: you can cancel a new membership within 14 days of buying it and get a full refund. Email info@myahsits.com or cancel from your membership page. This does not affect your other rights as a consumer.
- If you move from Premium to Basic, or your membership ends, your page switches to the Basic design; nothing you have added is deleted.
- If we change a price, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
- Payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
5. Sitters
- Describe your experience truthfully, and only post reviews that are real.
- Only apply for sits you can do, and tell the owner straight away if your plans change.
- During a sit, follow the owner's care routines, look after the home as your own, and contact a vet or the emergency services first if an animal or person is in danger.
- Keep the owner's private details (address, codes, wifi and contacts) to yourself, and use them only for the sit.
6. Home owners
- Describe your home, pets and their needs accurately, including any medical or behavioural needs.
- Make sure your home is safe for a sitter, and that you are allowed to have a sitter stay (for example under your tenancy or insurance).
- Leave clear instructions, vet details and an emergency contact.
- Arrange your own home and pet insurance. MYAH does not insure homes, pets or sitters.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, words and reviews you add. You give MYAH permission to show them on the site so the service works, for as long as they are on your account. Only upload content you have the right to share, and nothing unlawful, misleading or offensive.
Your page is public, so keep it safe: give your city or region only, never a street, house number or postcode, and do not show house numbers, street signs or car number plates in photos. Only show other people's faces if they are happy to appear.
Reviews must be genuine and written by the home owner or sitter they come from. A reviewer's first name is shown with their review.
8. Messages and behaviour
Be respectful. Do not harass anyone, share anyone else's personal details without permission, or use MYAH to send spam or to arrange anything unlawful. You can report anything that worries you to info@myahsits.com.
9. Suspending or closing accounts
You can ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other members, homes or animals at risk, or is used fraudulently. Where it is safe to, we will tell you why.
10. Our responsibility to you
We work to keep MYAH running smoothly and securely, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. Because the sit is arranged between members, we are not responsible for what happens during a sit, or for loss or damage caused by a member. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as MYAH grows. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you by email or on the site before they apply.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
